The Bathford Society is registered with the Charity Commission and is a member of the Council for the Protection of Rural England.
The Society's objectives include the investigation and preservation of all aspects of the history of the parish and the protection and improvement of features of historic and architectural interest.
The Society welcomes new members, and would like to invite all members, both new and old to the Annual General Meeting in November.
The Society would like to hear from anyone interested in joining the Committee. Elections will be held at the AGM, and nominations should be made to the Chairman two weeks prior to the event.

Society Launches New Website
At the Annual General Meeting on the 25th November 2007, Peter Staples gave a demonstration of the new website. It's purpose is to make the Society's archives of local history more accessible.

Bathford Past and Present
A comprehensive history of the Parish, written by Mr Godfrey Laurence, is available from Bathford Post Office or at meetings, price £6.00.
New Bathford Guide
A basic history of Bathford with pictures of buildings, a new map and some suggested walks. All in colour on a single A3 sheet. Available from the Village Shop for £1.50.
Programme of talks
All talks take place in the Parish Hall, Church Street, Bathford, at 8.00 pm. Coffee is available from 7.30pm, and visitors and new members are welcome.
